Turmeric essential oil has a clear orange-amber color with a faint blue fluorescence. It contains about 60% turmerone, ar-turmerone, atlantone, zingiberone, channel, borneo, sabinene, phellandrene, and more. It’s important to note that turmerone is a ketone and is moderately toxic and irritating in high concentrations.
